What if I have a medical problem that is not on the list?
If you have a medical problem that is not on the list of services, then you need to contact your PCP. If your medical problem is urgent in nature and you cannot get in to see your PCP, then it would be best to go to the Emergency Room.

I’m a supervisor and my employee has an injury or illness that is NOT work related. What do I do?
Urgent needs:
If the employee reports an emergency or urgent condition, please send them to the Emergency Room immediately.

Non-Urgent Needs:
First, encourage your employee to call their PCP for an office visit. If your employee cannot get in to see their PCP, then your employee can look at the list of services to see if Express Care would be an appropriate option for them. If they need to be seen outside of Express Care hours, or for a condition that we do not treat, they can call the VFAM line as a source to find non-urgent care. The VFAM phone number is: 615-343-8863, or 3-8863 on campus.

If your employee has a work related illness or injury, please send them to our Occupational Health Clinic located in suite 640 of the Medical Arts Building.

Can you treat me if I have a provider?
We encourage you to see your PCP for your healthcare whenever possible. We can see you for the conditions on the list of services if you cannot get in to see your provider. After being seen in our clinic, you should follow up with your PCP.

My provider cannot see me today, can I be seen?
Yes, you may walk in without an appointment for any of the conditions on the list of services. If you have a more urgent condition, then it is best to go to the Emergency Room.

What services will I pay for?
You will be responsible to pay for any medications or tests that have to be sent to the lab.

What if the illness might be work related?
If you think you have any of the following conditions put on a surgical face mask and report to
Occupational Health as soon as possible.

  1. Chicken Pox
