The English Language Center (ELC) will be restructuring as of January 2008, and we will exclusively be offering prgramming for VU-affiliated and Embassy and Scholarship sponsored international students.
Embassy and scholarship sponsored students will be issued I-20s from the ELC for acquiring their F-1 student visas.

Spouses and dependent children of VU Faculty, Staff and Students are advised to enter the U.S. on a dependent visa connected to their spouse or parent. If an I-20 is desired for a spouse or dependent, application to a Nashville-area language school (ELS Belmont or International English Institute) is recommended.

If you need a student visa (F-1) to come to the ELC, you must complete the visa section on the application form. Please apply early. It takes at least one week to process your papers before we can mail your I-20 to you. If you are late in applying, you should send U.S. $50.00 to cover the cost of express mail. We cannot send your I-20 by express mail until we receive your $50.00 payment.
