Judy W. Thompson

Judy Thompson is the Activities Coordinator and Administrative Assistant in the Vanderbilt University Center for Ethics. She a graduate of Clarksville High School and attended Austin Peay State University.  Judy began her work here at Vanderbilt in October 1987 working in the Philosophy Department. She moved to the Center for Ethics in January 2006. Judy also was elected to the Vanderbilt University Staff Advisory Council and also was a member of the Executive Staff Council for many years.  She has served on numerous committees, including staff and faculty training, heath care issues, traffic and parking, and new staff orientation.  Judy served on the Board of Directors for SandDollar Condominiums for seven years.  She has three grown children and six grandsons.   Together with her husband, Dewey, she lives on the family farm of over 2400 acres just to the northwest in a small community called Cumberland Furnace.  There are four generations living on the farm today, and it is one of the prettiest and largest working farms in Dickson County.
