CampVandy General Info

CampVandy is a day camp accommodating up to 140 children from 5 to 12 years of age (Child(ren) Must Be 5 Years Of Age Before They Can Participate In CampVandy).  Campers will experience a variety of sport activities and games with an emphasis on fun, learning and participation. Weekly highlights will include themed events and daily swimming.

Camp Sessions

CampVandy Holiday 2009a great way to keep kids happy and busy during the winter holidays. We would love for you to join us for tons of entertaining activities, and plenty of joyful merriment during the most wonderful time of the year

Registration begins October 26, 2009.
Space is limited, so register early! CampVandy Holiday rates are as followed:

Vanderbilt Employees: 7 Day Package - $225.00 - December 21,22,23,28,29,30,and 31 or ($50.00 per day)

Community Members: 7 Day Package - $250.00 - December 21,22,23,28, 29, 30, and 31 or ($50.00 per day)

*On December 31 CampVandy will close at 4:00PM.

CampVandy Summer 2010 - TBA

Registration Begins April 1, 2010

Space is limited, so register early! CampVandy Summer is $135 per week/per child for Vanderbilt employees (Parent, sibling, grandparent or step-parent, step-sibling, step-grandparent - Must present Vanderbilt ID upon registration),and $150 per week for the community and surrounding areas. A daily rate of $50 per day is also available. The cost includes special activities, arts and crafts, kids climb, one camp T-shirt, two snacks and drinks each day. Children are required to bring their own lunch.

For your convenience, we offer early and after care services. Each care service adds an additional fee of $5.00 per day/per care. However, we do not refund early care or after care if it is not used. Earlycare hours are from 7am to 8:30am, and aftercare is from 4pm to 6pm.

Late Fee
If you register your child for a week that has already started, you will be charged a $25 late fee for each child. However, if your child is already participating in camp and you are wanting to sign them up for the following week, you have until Wednesday by 5pm during the prior week to do so otherwise you will be assessed $25.

Registration
Remember, the early bird gets the worm!!
Registration begins April 1, 2010. We fill up quickly, so don't wait! There is a $50 deposit for each week. However, the deposit goes towards the weekly camp fee. Deposits (cash or check only) must be included with registration. Registrations will be accepted April 1st and thereafter. No registrations will be accepted in person or by mail before April 1st.

Once registration begins, you may submit registration by mail to the address on the form, or in person to the Office of Campus Recreation between 9am and 5pm, Monday through Friday.

PLEASE NOTE: The Office of Campus Recreation is not responsible for registration forms left at the front desk or under the door.  Registration forms may be mailed or dropped off in the office with office personnel during office hours only 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Arrivals
Upon arrival, children will meet in the gym on court #1 directly inside the North Entrance of the Recreation Center. All children must be accompanied and signed in by an adult. Your child MAY NOT be signed in before 8:30am unless he/she is enrolled in early care.

Departures
Campers will be dismissed between 3:45 and 4:00pm. Parents will sign their child out at the table located on the first floor. For the safety of your child, we require a photo ID to be presented upon signing out. We will not release your child to walk, meet you outside, or leave with someone other than you without written permission.

What to Bring
We recommend your child wear comfortable clothing, non-marking athletic shoes(no sandals), hat, swim suit, towel, sunscreen and a lunch. Children are required to bring their own lunch. Please have clothing labeled with your child's name. CampVandy is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items.
