BLAIR CHORAL ENSEMBLE AUDITION INFORMATION:
Auditions for Chamber Choir and Symphonic Choir are done at the same time.
Audition sign-up sheets will be posted on the door of the Choral Rehearsal Hall at the Blair School
of Music beginning Saturday, 23 2008 at 8 a.m. All auditions take place in the Choral Rehearsal Hall,
and last approximately ten minutes. Students should sign up for a time as follows:

*All students, whether new or returning, may sign up for any available time on any of the three audition days.
Audition Requirements: Sing a 2 - 3 minute song in any style, accompanied or unaccompanied (an accompanist
will be provided); vocal exercises; short sight-singing excerpt.
*The first rehearsal for the Vanderbilt Symphonic Choir is Monday, August 25th from 3:15 to 4:20 in
the Choral Rehearsal Hall.
*The first rehearsal for the Blair Chamber Choir is Tuesday, August 26th from 4:45 to 6:15 in the Choral Rehearsal Hall.
Auditions for the Blair Collegium are scheduled by appointment. Please email David Childs at david.childs@vanderbilt.edu to schedule an audition.
ENSEMBLE
DRESS CODE:
Men -- black tux, white tux shirt with wing collar and 1/4 inch pleats,
standard sized black bow tie, black studs with gold rims, black socks,
black shoes.
Women -- conservative ankle length black dress or black skirt (no slits)
and black blouse with long sleeves, black hose, closed-toe black shoes.
