GIVING
TO BLAIR
Giving societies are the backbone of Blair’s
financial stability.
Annual unrestricted support is one of the School’s highest priorities.
THE PATRONS SOCIETY
Individuals, foundations, and corporations who provide
annual support of $1,000 or more. Established in 1981, the organization’s
contributions have represented 90 percent of Blair’s gift income.
Four gift levels provide special recognition within the Patrons Society
Directors $1,500 - $2,499
Benefactors $2,500 - $4,999
Dean’s List $5,000 - $9,999
Chancellor’s Council $10,000+
Companies and foundations receive special recognition for gifts of
more than $1,000
Investors $2,500 - $4,999
Partners-In-Harmony $5,000 - $9,999
RESTRICTED GIFTS
Though unrestricted gifts afford the School the most
flexibility, gifts can also be made for restricted purposes. Please contact

GIFTS TO NAME SEATS
IN INGRAM HALL
The Blair School of Music opened the Martha Rivers
Ingram Center for the Performing Arts in November of 2001. The centerpiece
of the new center is Ingram Hall, a state-of-the-art performance hall
capable of staging opera, theatre, ballet, and all varieties of music
performance. Ingram Hall has 619 seats that are available to be named
for a gift of $1,500 to the School’s endowment. Plaques are placed
on each named seat; many are named in honor of someone or in memory of
a loved one. Please contact the Development Office at (615) 322-7650 for
information.
Gifts may be made in installments. DAR can tailor a pledge to donor
specifications.

Matching
Gifts
If your company has a matching gift program, your gift to Blair may be
doubled or even tripled. Forms are usually available from your Human Resources
department. Complete your portion of the form and send it to us at the
address below, and we will do the rest. In some cases, a spouse’s
company will also match the gift.
