•Classrooms,
teaching studios and practice rooms afford the finest equipment, technology
and acoustical conditions. Blair now offers more than 60 teaching studios,
over 50 practice rooms, three electronic labs, and three interactive practice
rooms.
•Blair
now boasts two performance venues: the Steve and Judy Turner Recital Hall,
which provides an intimate space for solo and chamber music performances,
and the newly completed Martha Rivers Ingram Center for the Performing
Arts.
•The
Anne Potter Wilson Music Library has doubled in size. The facility contains
over 40,000 volumes and scores, more than 5500 CDs, 14,500 LPs and hundreds
of cassettes and videotapes. New CD, DVD and VHS players have been added.
The library is now linked with the main Vanderbilt campus integrated library

Steve
and Judy Turner Recital Hall
Blair’s
principal performance hall for twenty years, Turner Hall is being updated
during the summer of 2002 to provide an intimate, acoustically superior
setting for solo and chamber music. The 286-seat room is a superb setting
for student and faculty recitals, as well as lectures and guest performers. |

Martha Rivers Ingram Center for the Performing Arts
Completed
in 2001, the performance wing includes

including orchestra pit, opera scene shop, loading dock, dressing rooms

ACCESSIBILITY OF FACILITIES
Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University is an accessible facility with a variety of services including wheelchair accommodations, accessible parking and building access to all venues and public areas, and assistive listening devices.
To request assistance with special needs or to reserve a wheelchair for use at Blair, call 615-322-7651 and ask to speak with the Concerts Manager or Technical Director on the day you are planning to attend a performance. Staff members are happy to meet patrons on the curb at the main entrance to provide assistance as needed during your time at the facility.

Entrances
The main entrances to the Blair School of Music main offices and both performance venues entrances are fully accessible. Entrance to Ingram Hall is through the automatic doors at the far right of the main hall entrance. Entrance to Turner Hall is at the far right doors to the main Blair School building via the ramp and automatic doors.
Elevators
Elevator access is available to accessible seating on the top level of Ingram Hall via the main lobby of the Martha Rivers Ingram Performing Arts Center. Accessible elevators are available in the main campus building to all floors. All elevators have Braille signage.
Wheelchair & Limited Mobility Seating
Seating next to a companion is available to patrons who use wheelchairs. When arriving at a performance at Blair, notify the ushers or House Manager that a guest is attending in a wheelchair. Trained staff and volunteers are available to assist with seating and accommodating mobility devices. A wheelchair is available upon request.
Restrooms
Accessible restrooms are located in the main lobby of Ingram Hall. Accessible restrooms are also located on the main floor of the Blair main campus building.
Assistive Listening System
Headsets providing amplification of sound through infrared transmission are available at no cost from the floor manager at the Box office entrance of Ingram Hall. A patron's photo i.d. or major credit card will be held until headsets are returned following the performance. |
