Alfred the Ignoble had a mid-life crisis in which he decided to spend his time at the horse races instead of composing operas. This was a bad thing for many reasons, and I'd list them if this were a real web page.
If you still want to jump to paragraph 3, but you haven't given that paragraph a header, you might choose a few words at the start of the paragraph to serve as the text to be associated with the anchor. Take this paragraph, for instance.
Testing anchor names is pretty easy. Just make a reference to them in your HTML and then click on them. If we don't get there (for instance, if we go to the top of the HTML document), there's a problem-- usually a typo. For instance, we might want to read about Alfred's mid-life crisis. Alternatively, we might want to jump to paragraph three. Of course, if I'm sloppy in my typing, we won't go to the appropriate spot; this link to mid-life with two "d"s should send me to the top of the page.
This link allows me to access the 243 gateway page if I've put the document in the right folder. Note that a similar link to 242 gateway page does not work.
