Enrique Pupo-Walker
Ph.D. North Carolina (Chapel Hill, 1967). Centennial Professor Emeritus of Spanish (retired June 2000). My research comprises essays and books on Spanish and Spanish American literature (colonial, nineteenth century, and contemporary). I have also written on comparative aesthetics (interrelations of the arts). I held visiting professorships at the Universities of Santander, Valladolid, Indiana University, Oxford, and Antwerp. I have been awarded several national and international research fellowships.
