I encourage you to explore our site and to learn more about our nanoscience research activities here at Vanderbilt.  Optical, opto-electronic, and opto-magnetic research have received significant attention and investment over the past decade, due to the abundance of real world applications that have arisen for this field.  We intend to make contributions to the development and understanding of novel nanocrystals and nanocrystalline structures, which have intriguing and applicable optical, electronic, and magnetic properties.
