- On April 13-15, 2007, the Department of Philosophy at Vanderbilt hosted The 2nd Annual Vanderbilt Conference on Politics, Criticism, and the Arts. The conference has been established as a yearly event that will permit historians, philosophers and critics of the arts to gather to discuss central issues in politics and the arts. Keynote address this year will be made by Caroline Jones (MIT).
- The Philosophy Department, the Vanderbilt Center for Ethics, and the Vanderbilt Law School are proud to have sponsored a lecture series in connection with a class taught this spring by Professor Rob Talisse. Speakers will include Steven Macedo (Princeton), Michael Perry (Emory Law), Seyla Benhabib (Yale), and Roger Scruton (Princeton).
