'Zines!
'Zines now have an active life online (although the coolest
ones are still produced by hand, like we're going to do ours). Here
are some online 'zines:
Electronic
poetry
A fun website that lets you make your own poetry
using random words--just like magnetic poetry.
The Diary Project
A very cool website that has diary entries from
teenagers around the country on issues like racism, relationships, body
image, violence, loss, religion, and whatever else the writers think is
interesting. You can read others' diary entries and respond to them,
and you can see how people from around the country respond to what you
have to say.
Photo Essays

narrative, using the work of Great Depression photographers Walker Evans

your high school? What do you think of how the photographers and
editors presented the students?
-

sugar-coat her view of American life. Do you know the America she
presents?
-

Mom March": Photos from the recent march on Washington by mothers
who are tired of gun violence and want gun control legislation. Do
the pictures make you think differently about the political issue?

information. This is a useful page that offers suggestions for how
to evaluate a web site.
