Ereny Morcos Ereny Morcos

About Me:
I was born in Egypt and lived there until I was thirteen, and then immigrated to the U.S. and lived in Nashville. Immediately after my graduation from High School, I went to college and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from MTSU. I joined Dr. Bornhop group in 2007 as a research assistant, and I enjoy being one of the people in the group. When I am not in the lab, I am either at home or at my church where I teach Sunday school and involved in many other church activities.

My Job:
I mostly work with the alpha BSI to study the binding of protein- protein, protein-molecule, and protein-antibody. BSI does not require much volume at all, and it is not a complicated system. I also help in synthesizing and purifying the fluorescent tag chemistry that is used for early tumor detection.
