Ted, as I am also known as.  I can always detect telephone solicitors when they ask to speak to "Edward."  I also find it amusing when casual acquaintances, who have perhaps seen my name written but not heard it spoken, insist on calling me "Ed."  I was named after my great uncle and godfather Ted Browder.
