Essays will be submitted in hard copy and via the
online Horizon
system. Be
advised that your paper will be read by your fellow classmates and that
exceptional papers may be posted to the course website in future years.

Late
submissions--either in hard copy or online--will be penalized 10 points for each 24 hour hour period they are
late. Hard copy versions should be submitted in class
on the date due and
online versions by 4:00pm that same day. Failing to submit a critique
will result in a 10 point reduction to your paper grade.
Letter Grade Determination
In converting your numerical average to a letter grade, fractions will be rounded to the
nearest whole number and the following scale will apply:
A 94-100
A- 90-93
B+ 87-89
B 83-86
B- 80-82
C+ 77-79
C 73-76
C- 70-72
D+ 67-69
D 63-66
D- 60-62
F <60
MAKE-UP EXAMS
Make-ups are only given in extraordinary circumstances, which are generally
limited to sickness or a death in the family. You should notify
your TA, and you must
provide written documentation explaining your absence. It is up to the
instructors discretion to decide to give you a make-up exam or quiz.
