I’m a resident of Tennessee. How does the lottery scholarship work with my need–based aid package?

Tennessee Education Lottery Scholarships (TELS) are treated like any other outside scholarship. If Vanderbilt has met your demonstrated need, we will first replace any loans or work study you may have in your need–based financial aid package. If the amount of TELS received exceeds the amount of loan and work study in your award, only then are Vanderbilt grant funds reduced.
