Are interviews required for prospective students?

Vanderbilt does not have a required interview process for applicants. Beginning in 2006, Vanderbilt is offering students the opportunity to schedule an optional alumni interview in their local area. Such interviews are scheduled by students once they have submitted their application for admission. These interviews are completely optional since Vanderbilt cannot guarantee the availability of alumni to interview all students, particularly those living outside major metropolitan areas.
