Membership in the AEA includes a subscription to seven academic journals.
The AER, JEL and JEP are available on CD-ROM. You may elect to receive any one or all three journals in print format OR CD at no additional charge. You may choose to receive each journal in print AND CD for an additional $18 per journal.
Published March, June, September, and December with a number of articles and shorter papers on economic subjects. Papers and Proceedings of the Annual Meeting is published in May. During 2006 and 2007, the American Economic Review was the most widely consulted journal among all 775 scholarly journals that are archived in JSTOR. JOURNAL OF ECONOMIC LITERATURE
Published March, June, September, and December containing survey and review articles, abstracts of articles from foreign and domestic periodicals, lists of new books classified according to subject matter, and book reviews.

JOURNAL OF ECONOMIC PERSPECTIVES
Published Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall to provide economists with accessible articles that report on and critique recent research findings, evaluate public policy initiatives and serve as insightful readings for classroom, public, and business use.

New American Economic Journals
AEA members will receive a complimentary print copy of the inaugural issue of each new American Economic Journal. Members may continue receiving print copies of the American Economic Journals of their choice by requesting them at www.vanderbilt.edu/AEA/journal_selection.htm after January 1, 2009. Free copies continue until the first membership renewal after December 2009. Thereafter, regular, student, and life members of the Association will be able to purchase print AEJs for $25 per year per journal (plus foreign postage where applicable). All members will have electronic access to all four AEJs through the Association website. Personal subscriptions to the American Economic Journals are not available independently of membership in the Association.
AMERICAN ECONOMIC JOURNAL: MACROECONOMICS
Published twice in 2009 (January and July), and then quarterly in January, April, July and October beginning in 2010, the journal primarily would include: focusing on macroeconomics; monetary economics; international finance; aggregate aspects of development; economic growth; finance; and comparative economic systems.
AMERICAN ECONOMIC JOURNAL: MICROECONOMICS
Published twice in 2009 (February and August), and then quarterly in February, May, August and November beginning in 2010, the journal primarily would include material on microeconomic theory; corporate finance; industrial organization; micro theory aspects of economic development; and micro aspects of international economics.
AMERICAN ECONOMIC JOURNAL: ECONOMIC POLICY
Published twice in 2009 (February and August), and then quarterly in February, May, August and November beginning in 2010, the journal primarily would include: public economics; urban and regional economics; public policy aspects of health, education, and welfare; law and economics; economic regulation; and environmental and natural resource economics.
AMERICAN ECONOMIC JOURNAL: APPLIED ECONOMICS
Published January, April, July, and October and focusing on labor; demography; empirical micro development; and health, education, and welfare economics.

EconLit for AEA: EconLit for AEA Members is a searchable bibliographic database. It contains all the Econlit records, but does not have links to full-text journal articles and books available on library and institutional installations. It is a tool for members who do not enjoy institutional access to EconLit.
- EconLit (Online): libraries and organizations may subscribe to these services to offer access to the AEA's bibliography of journal citations from JEL since 1969. Both versions also include dissertations, books, and collective volume citations. EconLit additionally contains Abstracts of Working Papers in Economics and JEL Book Reviews.
