Ngina Chiteji

Ngina Chiteji is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Skidmore College. Dr. Chiteji's research examines financial systems, intergenerational connections, household wealth, and asset-ownership patterns. Her research has appeared in publications such as African American Research Perspectives, the American Economic Review Papers and Proceedings, Social Science Computer Review, the Review of Black Political Economy, and the Journal of International Development. Dr. Chiteji has held positions as a research analyst at the Congressional Budget Office, as a visiting scholar at the Democracy Collaborative at the University of Maryland, and as a fellow at the Poverty Research and Training Program at the University of Michigan. Dr. Chiteji holds a Ph.D in economics at the University of North Carolina.
