Workshop Purpose

The three-day workshop introduces economics instructors to interactive teaching in economics. Workshop participants will learn about new strategies for engaging undergraduate students through interactive learning and other teaching methods that promote student achievement and deeper understanding of economics. At the workshop, participants will make a plan for implementing interactive teaching strategies in their courses.

After the workshop, each participant will have the opportunity to participate in phase two and phase three of the project. Although participation in phases two and three is not required, preference will be given to applicants who indicate that they are interested in participating in phases two and three.
